The Panchase trek is a shorter and easier trek near Pokhara, ideal for families, elderly travellers, or those seeking a more relaxed pace to enjoy nature. This trek offers stunning views of the Annapurna range, including peaks like Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and Machhapuchhre. The area is predominantly covered by a protected forest, boasting a rich variety of flora, including over 100 species of orchids.

One of the unique aspects of the Panchase trek is its lesser-known status among tourists, resulting in a more authentic experience of Nepali village life. Itinerary  

Day 01: Pokhara to Bumdi (1520m, 3-4 hrs)

The trek from Pokhara to Bumdi is a popular route that offers beautiful natural surroundings and cultural experiences. The trek begins with a boat ride across Phewa Lake from Pokhara, followed by a hike to Bumdi, situated at an altitude of 1520 meters. The starting point of the trek is often reached by crossing Phewa Lake and visiting the World Peace Pagoda, a renowned tourist attraction in Pokhara. As you continue along the trekking trail, you will descend through the forest with moderate ups and downs, passing through Lukum Swara. The trek typically takes around 3-4 hours to complete, offering a moderate level of difficulty suitable for various types of trekkers.

During the trek, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings and take in the views of the landscapes. The region is known for its tranquillity and offers a chance to experience authentic Nepali village life. The trek also provides opportunities for photography and enjoying the scenic vistas along the way.

Day 02: Bumdi to Panchase Bhanjyang (2065, 4-5 hrs)

The trek from Bumdi to Panchase Bhanjyang offers a scenic and moderately challenging route. Starting from Bumdi, situated at an altitude of 1520 meters, the trail continues to Panchase Bhanjyang, located at an elevation of 2065 meters. The trek typically takes around 4-5 hours to complete.

The path from Bumdi descends through the tranquil evergreen forest before reaching the village of Bhanjyang. From there, the trail ascends, passing through another village and then descends to reach the village of Patle. The route offers diverse landscapes and allows trekkers to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Throughout the trek, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, and Mt. Ganesh, which can be seen from the Panchase area. Additionally, the trek provides opportunities to observe the Fewa Lake, as well as rivers like Rati, Jare, Andhi, and Seti.

Day 03: Panchase Bhanjyang to Bhadaure (1670, 3 hrs)

The trek from Panchase Bhanjyang to Bhadaure offers a picturesque route descending through the scenic landscapes. Starting from Panchase Bhanjyang, situated at an altitude of 2065 meters, the trek takes you to Bhadaure, located at an altitude of 1670 meters. The trek typically takes around 3 hours to complete.

The trail from Panchase Bhanjyang descends through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine trees, offering a beautiful natural setting to enjoy along the way. The trek provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the forested surroundings and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Day 04: Bhadaure to Naudanda then drive back to Pokhara.

The trek from Bhadaure to Naudanda, followed by a drive back to Pokhara, offers a scenic and enjoyable route. From Bhadaure, which is situated at an altitude of 1670 meters, the trek continues to Naudanda, located at an altitude of 1515 meters. The trek from Bhadaure to Naudanda typically takes around 2 hours of walking time.

The trail from Bhadaure to Naudanda provides a pleasant descent, allowing you to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. The trek passes through charming landscapes and may offer glimpses of the Himalayan scenery, depending on the weather conditions. After reaching Naudanda, the trek concludes, and you will proceed with a drive back to Pokhara. The drive from Naudanda to Pokhara takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.
